Following the infamous fire at the Mandarin Oriental in June 2018, the 5-Star London Hotel, normally accustomed to entertaining Celebrities & the Royal Family underwent further renovations to refurnish & improve the existing systems in place to prevent a future fire incident.
Renovations began later that year, when Courtyard were contracted to offer technical advice and provide industry leading equipment that offers both style & safety; following the events earlier in the year.
The focus points of this renovation were the hotel corridors and various lobbies. Electronic door closers, hinges, kickplates & pull handles were provided to bolster the preventative measures for future fires. The electronic door closers were connected to the hotel network and automatically closed corridor doors in the event of a fire.
